A team of James Latham’s ‘Door Champions’ recently attended the official opening of Moralt’s new factory in Hausham, Bavaria. The German performance door-blank specialist created their very own Oktoberfest in the factory, complete with traditional food, music, dress and, of course, steins of beer.
As well as the traditional Oktoberfest themed party, there was also a programme of formal presentations from esteemed speakers as well as factory tours where customers from around Europe were given the opportunity to learn more about Moralt’s extensive range of performance door-blanks, in addition to the company’s impressive history.
James Latham is the exclusive UK distributor of Moralt door-blanks and its biggest customer in Europe. The team included Group Door Manager, Steven Dennard, as well as Door Champion's from across the group, Garry Suggett, at the Gateshead depot, Steve Williams, at the Leeds depot, Darren Gentle, at Thurrock and Darren Brooks, at Hemel Hempstead.
Managing Director, Chris Sutton and Supply Chain Director Steve Frommont also attended. Steven Dennard commented, “It was a fantastic event.
In terms of their technical and performance capabilities, Moralt’s products are by far the best in the business and this was a great opportunity for their customers to see first-hand their impressive new facility and learn more about these products. In the UK we are seeing specifications for technical door blanks growing all the time and with Moralt’s products incorporating the latest developments in areas such as fire rating, security and acoustic performance, we are in a strong position to capitalise on this.”
