Moralt’s Flat Iron Stabilizer
The Moralt patented flat iron
stabilizer (Patent No. 19910026) with two flat iron bars inserted into grooves
of the wood material and glued over their full surface. This concept works
according to the static principle of a tension and compression.
Advantages compared to the alternative stabilizer constructions: “u-iron”
or “square tube section”:
- No heat bridge, thanks to
thermal decoupling of the two flat bars.
- No hollow spaces, therefore no
danger of condensation formation internally.
- Even if the product absorbs a
significant amount of moisture, the flat iron stabilizing bars will not show
through on the surface.
- Low weight by retaining a
streamline and non-excessive construction.
